In Atlanta, there is never a single change of season. The seasons change constantly when Spring or Autumn come around. We go through all 4 seasons in a week, sometimes even in a day. Right now, we have been blessed with some autumnal weather. The night can be in the 40’s and the days are cool but pleasant. Of course, it may be back in the 80’s any time now but, it’s great for the moment.
The plants really have no idea what season it is either. Here’s an example of the mixed up seasons. My hydrangea bush is putting out new leaves and has beautiful blue blossoms on it. At the same time, the ornamental maples that are all over around here are about half-way turned to fall colors. I thought putting them together would give a nice contrast and show what a wide variety there is in this area right now.
