Showing your age

Some things age gracefully and others… not so much.  This piano looks as though it had held up pretty well until you look closely at the keys.  From this angle, you can see that there’s quite a lot of height variation and the top surface is certainly not flat and regular.  In some cases, the top is actually curling up and ready to fall off.

I’m afraid that if someone tried to play this instrument, bits and pieces would come apart before a song could be completed.  Then again, I am not as old as this piano and there are parts of me that don’t work as originally designed so, maybe I should be more gentle in my description.  In any case, the textures and patterns here made me think it was quite an interesting scene to study.

Photography is my way to capture and share the amazing beauty of God’s handiwork in the people and places that I experience every day. I focus mainly on nature and travel subjects but also do alot of event work for my church and the occasional wedding or portrait session. My residence is Roswell, Georgia – a northern suburb of Atlanta. I try to get around the Southeast as often as possible and would love to explore other parts of the USA and the rest of the world.
