Not a tomato

I keep finding these little yellow “fruits” in my backyard.  They actually grow on little weeds that keep cropping up.  Through the summer, these are small thorn-covered plants that I try to pull up.  The thorns often keep me from just grabbing them so, some survive.  In the fall, you seee the yellow fruit which look just like cherry tomatoes.

I was interested in them because of the color, the thorns and the shape.  It seemed like something to study for a nature composition.  The leaf is actually from a hydrangea which was larger and had nicer texture than the weed.  It is amazing to see what nature produces in the things we normally ignore.

Photography is my way to capture and share the amazing beauty of God’s handiwork in the people and places that I experience every day. I focus mainly on nature and travel subjects but also do alot of event work for my church and the occasional wedding or portrait session. My residence is Roswell, Georgia – a northern suburb of Atlanta. I try to get around the Southeast as often as possible and would love to explore other parts of the USA and the rest of the world.
