Stainless Flower

Once again this year, the City of Roswell is sponsoring Art Around Roswell, with 10 original works of sculpture spread among the city parks.  This gleaming stainless steel sculpture grows like a mechanical flower from the center of Heart of Canton Street park.  Just across Alpharetta Highway from Smith Plantation and Roswell City Hall, the busy traffic passes by totally unaware of the art work.

It is amazing what beauty often is right in front of us but goes without notice.  I have seen some of the other installations which seem to be pretty much in the same spots as with last year’s exhibit.  We should all get out there and appreciate this public art that is a gift to all who pass by.

Photography is my way to capture and share the amazing beauty of God’s handiwork in the people and places that I experience every day. I focus mainly on nature and travel subjects but also do alot of event work for my church and the occasional wedding or portrait session. My residence is Roswell, Georgia – a northern suburb of Atlanta. I try to get around the Southeast as often as possible and would love to explore other parts of the USA and the rest of the world.
