Not just waterlilies

While the waterlilies were the featured attraction on our latest visit to Gibbs Gardens, there were other flowers brightening the garden paths as well.  I’m not sure what variety this is but the relatively small white blossoms were beautiful to look at.  It was a bit challenging to get a good shot since the breeze was pushing their slender stems about regularly.  Hard to hit a moving target when you’re trying to get detail in sharp focus.

I’d say it’s not too bad a shot considering this was in the shade, hand-held and with that extra challenge of the wind.  In any case, this was just one of the many lovely flowers that still covers the garden paths up in Ball Ground.

Photography is my way to capture and share the amazing beauty of God’s handiwork in the people and places that I experience every day. I focus mainly on nature and travel subjects but also do alot of event work for my church and the occasional wedding or portrait session. My residence is Roswell, Georgia – a northern suburb of Atlanta. I try to get around the Southeast as often as possible and would love to explore other parts of the USA and the rest of the world.
