Hints of Autumn

The change of seasons is so different from one place to another.  Here in the Atlanta area, we experience seasonal turbulence during the time of change.  Temperatures can swing pretty widely on a daily basis so we can get all four seasons in a day or two and then switch back the next day.  With the month of October rolling in, I thought maybe we would start to see the colors changing in the trees.  Of course, here there is no consistency.  Some trees have dropped their leaves, some have hints of color and some are completely green.

On our walk through Gibbs Garden last Sunday, we only saw a couple of trees displaying fall colors and those were not really fully changed yet.  I hope we will start to see these changes more full over the next few weeks.  The gardens will have their Japanese Maples Colorfest in about two weeks so, I’m ready to go back and see that soon.  The gardens are beautiful as always but it looks mostly like Summer for the time being.

Photography is my way to capture and share the amazing beauty of God’s handiwork in the people and places that I experience every day. I focus mainly on nature and travel subjects but also do alot of event work for my church and the occasional wedding or portrait session. My residence is Roswell, Georgia – a northern suburb of Atlanta. I try to get around the Southeast as often as possible and would love to explore other parts of the USA and the rest of the world.
