Farm equipment graveyard

Nothing runs like a Deere but, I don’t think these run any more

Most of what is on display at Simpson Farm in Gainesville, Georgia is old cars and trucks but they have a fairly large collection of farm equipment also.  Lots of old tractors grouped together by manufacturer in neat rows.  For someone who didn’t grow up on a farm this is pretty interesting.  If you did grow up on a farm it will probably bring back lots of memories.

One thing that did resurrect old memories for me were the Allis-Chalmers tractors on the lot.  I worked at Allis-Chalmers in Milwaukee when I first got out of school.  I wasn’t in the farm equipment part but those orange tractors were always around to be seen.

Many other brands were on display and were neat to look over.  They may be old and rusty but still make for interesting subject matter.

Photography is my way to capture and share the amazing beauty of God’s handiwork in the people and places that I experience every day. I focus mainly on nature and travel subjects but also do alot of event work for my church and the occasional wedding or portrait session. My residence is Roswell, Georgia – a northern suburb of Atlanta. I try to get around the Southeast as often as possible and would love to explore other parts of the USA and the rest of the world.
