Still a little green left

Well, the fall colors are not what we photographers would normally wish for.  The brilliant red, yellow and orange leaves that we long for all year long don’t do so well when there’s no rain.  What we are seeing now is mostly brown but there’s still a bit of life out there and some of the leaves are still spring green like this one.  This gives a nice contrast and the patterns of the veins show that macro detail that makes it worthy of a photo.

I guess there’s good stuff to look at even in the middle of a drought.  Just wish we could have some rain to reduce the wildfire risk.  We’ve been covered up with smoke for too long here.

Photography is my way to capture and share the amazing beauty of God’s handiwork in the people and places that I experience every day. I focus mainly on nature and travel subjects but also do alot of event work for my church and the occasional wedding or portrait session. My residence is Roswell, Georgia – a northern suburb of Atlanta. I try to get around the Southeast as often as possible and would love to explore other parts of the USA and the rest of the world.
