Yellow glow

The sun put a spotlight on this yellow lily to call everyone to take a look

Yes, it is October but the water lilies are still showing beautifully at Gibbs Gardens.  We stopped by the gardens on Saturday on our way up to Fausetts Farms in Dawsonville.  It is always nice to stroll around at Gibbs and enjoy the beautiful landscape.

This was the weekend of their Monet Waterlily Festival – Arts and French Market.  There were musicians, arts and crafts vendors and even a mime in the gardens.  I always enjoy when the do special events like this.  The only down side is that it attracts a lot of visitors who have not been here previously and they wander around aimlessly everywhere.  Come on people, get with the program!

Photography is my way to capture and share the amazing beauty of God’s handiwork in the people and places that I experience every day. I focus mainly on nature and travel subjects but also do alot of event work for my church and the occasional wedding or portrait session. My residence is Roswell, Georgia – a northern suburb of Atlanta. I try to get around the Southeast as often as possible and would love to explore other parts of the USA and the rest of the world.
