A place to retire?

Brevard, North Carolina is consistently included in lists of top places to retire. I can see why.

Set in foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains  with a small-town atmosphere and easy access to beautiful parks and forests, Brevard is a great place to visit or to retire.  My visit here was part of a trip to nearby DuPont State Forest for the purpose of photographing some of the beautiful waterfalls there.  Brevard is actually known as “The Land of Waterfalls” due to the large number of falls in the area.

I think this would be especially nice in the fall when the colors change and the weather is a bit cooler.  Another trip up here for us is probably coming!

Photography is my way to capture and share the amazing beauty of God’s handiwork in the people and places that I experience every day. I focus mainly on nature and travel subjects but also do alot of event work for my church and the occasional wedding or portrait session. My residence is Roswell, Georgia – a northern suburb of Atlanta. I try to get around the Southeast as often as possible and would love to explore other parts of the USA and the rest of the world.
